Buckingham Palace

The following were received in audience by The Queen today and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Dr Philip Boyle (the Republic of Madagascar) and the Hon Peter Wilson (the Kingdom of the Netherlands).

Mrs Boyle and Dr Monica Wilson were also received by Her Majesty.

The following were received in audience by The Queen upon their appointment as British High Commissioners: Mr Iain Walker (the Republic of Ghana) and Ms Sharon Wardle (the Republic of the Gambia).

Mrs Walker and Mr Peter Millman were also received by Her Majesty.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this morning received Mr John Barnes (Chief Executive, Historic Royal Palaces) at Hillsborough Castle.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Omagh Hospital and Primary Care Complex, Donaghanie Road, Omagh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Tyrone (Mr Robert Scott).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Owenkillew Community Centre, Main Street, Gortin, and were received by Dr Lucinda Blakiston-Houston (Deputy Lieutenant of County Tyrone).

Their Royal Highnesses later visited Omagh Memorial Garden, Drumragh Avenue, Omagh.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards visited Strule Arts Centre, Townhall Square, Omagh.

The Duke of York, Patron, Royal Academy of Engineering, this morning received Professor Dame Ann Dowling (President) and Dr Hayaatun Sillem (Chief Executive).

His Royal Highness, Fellow, the Royal Society, this afternoon held a Reception for University Research, Dorothy Hodgkin and Sir Henry Dale Fellows at Buckingham Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning visited the Hyde Real Tennis Club, Walditch Road, Walditch, as part of His Royal Highness’s Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Real Tennis Tour and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset (Mr Angus Campbell).

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this afternoon visited Canford School, Canford Magna, Dorset.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this evening attended a Dinner at Canford School.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Stoll, this morning opened the Centenary Lodge, Evelyn Avenue, Aldershot, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

Her Royal Highness, President, this afternoon held a Meeting for Girlguiding.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Townswomen’s Guilds, this morning attended the Annual General Meeting at Brighton Dome, Church Street, Brighton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex (Mr Peter Field).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Save the Children UK, this afternoon attended a Summer Tea Party at Apothecaries’ Hall, Black Friars Lane, London EC4.

The Princess Royal, Prime Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this evening attended a Meeting followed by the Capon Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning officially opened Claycots School, Town Hall Campus, Bath Road, Slough, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (Mr James Puxley).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Kerith Community Church, the
Kerith Centre, Church Road, Bracknell, Berkshire.

Buckingham Palace

Princess Alexandra this afternoon visited Katharine House Hospice Day Unit, West Road, Stafford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Mr Ian Dudson).

Her Royal Highness, President, later visited the Royal Star and Garter Home, Tudor Coppice, Monkspath Hall Road, Solihull, to mark their Tenth Anniversary and was received by Sir Nigel Thrift (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).

Princess Alexandra afterwards opened Dorothy Terry House, Evesham Road, Headless Cross, Redditch, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire (Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Holcroft).
