Palace of Holyroodhouse

The Queen held an Investiture at the Palace of Holyroodhouse this morning.

Sir William Fraser was received by Her Majesty today and delivered up the Badge and Star of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle worn by his wife, the late Lady Marion Fraser.

The Hon Duncan Sutherland was received by The Queen and delivered up the Badge and Star of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle worn by his father, the late the Lord Sutherland of Houndwood.

Sir Ian Wood was received by The Queen this afternoon when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Knight of the Most Ancient and Most Noble Order of the Thistle.

The Queen, Royal Honorary Air Commodore, this evening held a Reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for 603 (City of Edinburgh) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force to mark the Squadron’s receipt of the Freedom of the City of Edinburgh.

The Duke of York and The Earl of Wessex were present.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Llangwm, Pembrokeshire, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed (Miss Sara Edwards).

The Prince of Wales afterwards visited Da Mhile Distillery, Glynhynod Farm, Llandysul, Ceredigion.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Llanwenog Church, Llanybydder.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the University of Wales Trinity St David, later received Professor Medwin Hughes (Vice Chancellor) and Venerable Master Chin Kung.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening held a Reception.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Dyfed Shire Horse Farm, Trelew, Eglwyswrw, Crymych, and was received by Mr James Lewis (Deputy Lieutenant of Dyfed).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Sussex, Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, this evening attended the Wheels Down Ball in aid of Heads Together at the London Hilton on Park Lane, 22 Park Lane, London W1.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Admiral, the Marine Society and Sea Cadets, this morning visited TS AJAX at Methil on the occasion of their Seventy Fifth Anniversary and was received by Mrs Fiona Robertson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Fife).

His Royal Highness, Founder, Pitch@Palace, this afternoon visited Heroes Drinks at the Lady Haig Poppy Factory, 9 Warriston Road, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this afternoon visited Citadel Youth Centre, 175 Commercial Street, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

The Princess Royal, Chairman, International Olympic Committee Members Election Commission, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Princess Royal, Chairman, International Olympic Committee Members Election Commission, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening held a Dinner at St James’s Palace.

The Princess Royal, Past Master, the Worshipful Company of Farriers, was represented by Brigadier Neill O’Connor, (Master) at the Funeral of Mr Denis Oliver (Past Master), which was held in St Wulfram’s Church, Church Street, Grantham, Lincolnshire, this afternoon.

Princess Alexandra, Patron, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, this afternoon received Mr John Willis upon assuming his appointment as Chairman.

Mr Michael Grandage (President) and Professor Gavin Henderson (Principal) were present.
