COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Mr Robin Budenberg (First Crown Estate Commissioner and Chairman, the Crown Estate Commission) was received by The Queen today.

Ms Alison Nimmo (Chief Executive) was also received by Her Majesty.

The following were received in audience by The Queen this afternoon and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Ian Duddy (the Oriental Republic of Uruguay) and Mr Keith Shannon (the Republic of Latvia).

Mr Neil Morrison and Mrs Shannon were also received by Her Majesty.

The following were received in audience by The Queen upon their appointment as British High Commissioners: Mr Fergus Cochrane-Dyet (the Republic of Zambia) and Ms Caron Rohsler (the Republic of Seychelles).

Mrs Cochrane-Dyet and Mr Rohsler were also received by Her Majesty.

The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Baroness Evans of Bowes Park (Leader of the House of Lords and Lord Privy Seal), the Rt Hon Liam Fox MP (Secretary of State for International Trade and President of the Board of Trade), the Rt Hon Michael Gove MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), the Rt Hon Matthew Hancock MP and the Rt Hon Jeremy Wright MP.

The Rt Hon Geoffrey Cox MP and the Rt Hon Dominic Raab MP were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

The Rt Hon Dominic Raab MP took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union.

The Rt Hon Matthew Hancock MP took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.

The Rt Hon Jeremy Wright MP took the Oath of Office, kissed hands upon appointment and received the Seals of Office as Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council and Mrs Ceri King was in attendance as Deputy Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, Plantlife International — the Wild Plant Conservation Charity, this morning held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness, Chairman, the Royal Collection Trust, this afternoon chaired a Meeting of the Trustees.

The Prince of Wales, Royal Founding Patron, University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, later attended a Reception at the Institute of Directors, Pall Mall, London SW1, and was received by Dr Paul Knapman (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness, Royal Founding Patron, University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, this evening held a Dinner at Clarence House.

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning received the Baroness Barran upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive of SafeLives.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Lawn Tennis Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Wimbledon, London SW19.

Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex today undertook engagements in Dublin, Ireland.

Their Royal Highnesses were received this morning by The President of Ireland and Mrs Higgins at Aras an Uachtarain.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex later visited a Gaelic sports festival at Croke Park Stadium.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon viewed the Book of Kells at Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex afterwards visited the Famine Memorial by the Liffey River.

Their Royal Highnesses later visited EPIC the Irish Emigration Museum, Custom House Quay.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex subsequently attended demonstrations of computer programming projects at Dogpatch Labs, Custom House Quay.

Their Royal Highnesses this evening arrived at Royal Air Force Northolt from Ireland.

Sir David Manning, Mr Edward Lane Fox, Mr Jason Knauf and Miss Amy Pickerill were in attendance.

The Duke of York, Founder, Pitch@Palace, this morning attended Pitch@Palace On Tour Wrexham for entrepreneurs and potential supporters at the Business Wales Wrexham Enterprise Hub, 11 Rhosddu Road, Wrexham, and was received by the Lady Kenyon (Deputy Lieutenant of Clwyd).

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Small Arms School Corps, this afternoon visited, the Infantry Battle School, Dering Lines, Brecon.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chancellor, University of Bath, today presided at Degree Congregations at Komedia, 22-23 Westgate Street, Bath, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Mrs Richard Maw).

His Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of Bath, this evening attended a Dinner at the Victorian Art Gallery, Bridge Street, Bath.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this morning attended the 160th Great Yorkshire Show, Great Yorkshire Showground, Railway Road, Harrogate, and was received by Major Peter Scrope (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire).

Her Royal Highness afterwards attended the Tall Ships Sail Trainees Reception at the National Glass Centre, Liberty Way, Sunderland, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mrs Susan Winfield).

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, Royal Colonel, 7th Battalion The Rifles, today received Lieutenant Colonel Graham Cox upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel James Gayner upon assuming the appointment.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, this afternoon attended the Wimbledon Championships, Church Lane, London SW19.
