COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of York, Royal Bencher, this morning visited the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn, London WC2, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa) and the Treasurer (the Lord Justice Patten).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, escorted respectively by the Treasurer and the Lord Justice McCombe (Treasurer Elect), moved into the Ashworth Centre, visiting the Advocacy Training Room and Lecture Theatre and meeting Education Committee chairmen and scholars, before The Queen opened the Ashworth Centre.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness afterwards moved into the Great Hall and met members of staff and Senior Benchers and The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of York, subsequently re-opened the Great Hall.

Mr Andrew Stephenson MP (Vice-Chamberlain of the Household) was received in audience by The Queen this afternoon and presented Addresses from the House of Commons to which Her Majesty was graciously pleased to make reply.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

By command of Her Majesty, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Julian Ventura Valero at 48 Belgrave Square, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the United Mexican States to the Court of St James’s.

Clarence House

The Duchess of Cornwall, Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Naval Medical Services, this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, this morning received Sir Keith Mills (Chairman).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Central Caribbean Marine Institute, this evening held a Dinner at St James’s Palace.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon received Archbishop Angaelos, Archbishop of London.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Fourth Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this morning attended the Committee of Wardens Meeting and the Court Meeting, and attended a Luncheon at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Restorative Justice Council, this afternoon received Mr Graham Robb upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Dr Kerry Clamp upon assuming the appointment.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Canine Partners for Independence, this evening attended a Carol Service at St Mary Abbots Parish Church, Kensington Church Street, London W8.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, the Scout Association, this morning visited the 2nd Warwick Sea Scouts, St Nicholas Park, Pickard Street, Warwick, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire (Mr Timothy Cox).

His Royal Highness today officially opened the new physiotherapy gymnasium at Helen Ley House Castel Froma Neuro Care, Baricote Lane, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

The Duke of Kent this afternoon visited Fillongley Village Hall, Coventry Road, Fillongley, to celebrate its Eightieth Anniversary.

Princess Alexandra, Patron, this evening attended the New Bridge Foundation Christmas Concert in the Parish Church of St George, Hanover Square, London W1.
