COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen held a Council at 5.45pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon James Brokenshire MP (Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government), the Baroness Evans of Bowes Park (Leader of the House of Lords and Lord Privy Seal), the Rt Hon David Gauke MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice), the Rt Hon David Lidington MP (Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office) and the Rt Hon Penelope Mordaunt MP (Secretary of State for International Development and Minister for Women and Equalities).

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.

The Lord Vestey was received by The Queen this evening upon relinquishing his appointment as Master of the Horse when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust, this morning held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness this afternoon held a Meeting for Waitrose Duchy Organic.

The Prince of Wales afterwards received Mr Saad El-Din Rafik Al-Hariri (Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic).

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, the Brooke Hospital for Animals, this afternoon attended a Carol Concert at the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, Birdcage Walk, London SW1.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Sussex this morning attended The Prince’s Trust Meeting at Clarence House.

The Duchess of Sussex today received Mr Rufus Norris (Artistic Director, the National Theatre).

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Founder, Pitch@Palace, this evening held Pitch@Palace Global 3.0 for entrepreneurs and supporters, at St James’s Palace.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences, this morning received Sir Alan Parker (Chairman), Mr Peter Flavel (Trustee and Vice Chairman) and Mr Patrick Wintour (Secretary).

Her Royal Highness, Royal Bencher, the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, and Patron, the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple Book Prize 2018, later attended the Book Prize Award Ceremony at the Inner Temple, London EC4.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Townswomen’s Guilds, this afternoon attended the Midland’s Annual National Carol Service in Hereford Cathedral and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire (the Dowager Countess of Darnley).

Her Royal Highness, Fourth Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this evening attended a Livery Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Patron, the Hanover Band, this evening attended a Concert and Dinner at Windsor Castle.
