Buckingham Palace

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of York, this afternoon attended the Commonwealth Day Observance Service in Westminster Abbey and was received by the Dean of Westminster (the Very Reverend Dr John Hall) and the Chairman of the Council of Commonwealth Societies (the Lord Howell of Guildford).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were also present.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended a Reception given by the Commonwealth Secretary-General (the Baroness Scotland of Asthal) at Marlborough House, London SW1.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Teaching Institute, was represented by Clare, Countess of Euston (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk) at the Funeral Service of Mrs Bernice McCabe (Co-Director, The Prince’s Teaching Institute) which was held in Holy Trinity Church, Long Melford, Suffolk, today.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Sussex, Commonwealth Youth Ambassador, and The Duchess of Sussex this morning attended a Reception at Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London SW1, and were received by the High Commissioner for Canada in London (Her Excellency Mrs Janice Charette).

The Duke of Sussex, President, African Parks, this afternoon received Mr Peter Fearnhead (Chief Executive).

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Patron, the Outward Bound Trust, this morning chaired a Trustees’ Meeting.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Outward Bound Trust, this afternoon held a Lunch for supporters at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of York, Patron, this evening attended a Dinner at the Institution of Civil Engineers, One Great George Street, London SW1.

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning held a Meeting.

The Countess of Wessex this morning attended a Breakfast Meeting at the Residence of the United Kingdom Permanent Representative to the United Nations (Her Excellency Dame Karen Pierce) in New York City, United States of America.

Her Royal Highness later attended the Opening Ceremony of Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations Headquarters, 405 East 42nd Street, New York City.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended the United Kingdom’s Non-Governmental Organisation’s Reception given by the United Kingdom Permanent Representative to the United Nations at the United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations, One Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, 885 Second Avenue, New York City.

Her Royal Highness later received Ms Esther Dingemans (Director, the
Dr Mukwege Foundation) and Ms Elizabeth Bohard (Co-Director, Nadia’s Initiative) at the Residence of the United Kingdom Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

The Countess of Wessex afterwards received Ms Pramila Patten (United Nations Special Representative of the Secretary-General on Sexual Violence in Conflict) at the United Nations Headquarters.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Royal Scots Club, this afternoon launched the Centenary Book and unveiled Victoria Cross Stones at 30 Abercromby Place, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

The Duke of Kent, Patron, this evening held a Dinner at St James’s Palace for Opera North to mark the Company’s Fortieth Anniversary.
