Windsor Castle

The Queen honoured Ascot Races with her presence today.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, The Rifles, this afternoon received General Sir Nicholas Carter upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel Commandant and General Patrick Sanders upon assuming the appointment.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Logistic Corps, this morning attended the Conductor’s Parchment Ceremony at the Corps Headquarters Officers’ Mess, Deepcut, Camberley, Surrey.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning laid a rose at the Elsie Inglis Memorial Plaque, Elsie Inglis House, Belgrade, and was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Serbia (His Excellency Mr Denis Keefe).

His Royal Highness, President, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, afterwards laid a wreath at Belgrade War Cemetery, Svetog Nikole Street, Belgrade.

The Duke of Kent, on behalf of Her Majesty’s Government and the British Council, later marked the presentation of a codable computer to the Museum of Science and Technology, 51 Dobracina Street, Belgrade.
