Buckingham Palace

The following were received in audience by The Queen today and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Andrew Soper (the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela) and Mr Gareth Ward (the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).

Mrs Soper and Mrs Ward were also received by Her Majesty.

The following were received in audience by The Queen upon their appointment as British High Commissioners: Mr David Ward (Solomon Islands) and Ms Joanna Lomas (the Republic of Rwanda).

Mr Christopher Finucane was also received by Her Majesty.

Mrs Nuala McGourty was received by The Queen upon relinquishing her appointment as Retail Director, Royal Collection Enterprises.

The Rt Hon Theresa May MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.

Clarence House

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, The Prince’s Foundation, this morning held a Textiles Meeting at Dumfries House, Cumnock, Ayrshire.

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Foundation, afterwards held a Meeting on architectural and heritage building projects.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, Patron, this afternoon held a Meeting for the International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism.

His Royal Highness later received the Rt Hon Mia Mottley MP (Prime Minister of Barbados).

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, The Prince’s Foundation, this evening held a Dinner at Dumfries House for supporters.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this morning officially opened the Albert Kennedy Trust new Services Centre at Unit B Sawmill Studios, 19-21 Parr Street, London N1, and was received by Lieutenant Colonel Roderick Morriss (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this evening departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Singapore.

Mrs Amanda Thirsk is in attendance.

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, today attended a Trustees’ Meeting at Gulliver House, Madeira Walk, Windsor, Berkshire.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening held a World Fellowship Anniversary Dinner at Windsor Castle.

The Countess of Wessex, President, Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association, today attended the Royal Norfolk Show at Norfolk Showground, Norwich, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (Sir Richard Jewson).

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Association of Wrens, this morning received Commandant Anthea Larken upon relinquishing her appointment as President and Captain Alison Towler RN upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness later attended the Fiftieth Anniversary of The Princess Anne Hovercraft launch at the Hovercraft Museum, Broom Way, Lee-on-Solent, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Royal Lymington Yacht Club, this afternoon attended the Thirty Fifth Anniversary of the Wednesday Junior Sailing Programme at Bath Road, Lymington, and was received by Colonel Charles Ackroyd (Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire).

Her Royal Highness, President, Animal Health Trust, this evening attended a Dinner at Spencer House, 27 St James’s Place, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, this evening held a Reception at Buckingham Palace.

Princess Alexandra this morning visited Romney Tweed Community Interest Company, the Granary, Jessamine Farm, Old Romney, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kent (the Viscount De L’Isle).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon toured Romney Marsh Historic Churches of Kent, visiting St Clement, Old Romney, St Augustine, Brookland, and St George, Ivychurch.
