Her Majesty, Colonel-in-Chief, Le Régiment de la Chaudière, this afternoon received the following: Brigadier Denis Belleau (Regimental Honorary Colonel), Mrs Monique Leroux (Regimental Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel), Lieutenant-Colonel Francois Provost (Commandant Regiment de la Chaudiere), Captain Richard Paradis (Regimental office representative), Captain Daniel Granotier (Regimental honorary ambassador), Captain Maurice Robbens (Regimental honorary ambassador), Chief Warrant Officer Eric Lapalme (Regimental Sergeant-Major) and Master Warrant Officer Denis Halle (Instruction Sergeant-Major).
The Queen received a representative party from The Royal Gurkha Rifles who presented The Queen’s Truncheon for Her Majesty’s inspection to mark the Twenty Fifth Anniversary of the founding of The Royal Gurkha Rifles.
Afterwards Captain Kamal Bahadur Khapung Limbu, The Queen’s Gurkha Engineers, and Captain Kiran Pun, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, (The Queen’s Gurkha Orderly Officers) were received by The Queen when Her Majesty invested them with the Insignia of Members of the Royal Victorian Order.
The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Ginsters Limited, Moss Side Industrial Estate, Tavistock Road, Callington, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).
Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited Tavistock and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr David Fursdon).
The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall and The Duchess of Cornwall later held a Reception at the Duchy Nursery, Lostwithiel, to celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of His Royal Highness’s Chairmanship of The Prince’s Council.
The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited the newly restored Hotel Endsleigh, Milton Abbot, Tavistock.
The Duke of York, Patron, Baker Dearing Educational Trust, this morning visited North East Futures University Technical College, Stephenson Square, Newcastle upon Tyne, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mrs Susan Winfield).
His Royal Highness, Founder Pitch@Palace, this afternoon visited Boiler Shop, 20 South Street, Newcastle upon Tyne.
The Duke of York afterwards visited Pulsant, Colmet Avenue, Team Valley, Gateshead.
