Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr Marin Raykov was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Bulgaria to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Raykova was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr Datuk Mohamad Sadik Bin Kethergany was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for Malaysia in London.

Mrs Datin Jakkiah Basran was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Simon McDonald (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

General Sir Nicholas Carter (Chief of the Defence Staff) was received by The Queen.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales this afternoon arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Japan.

Mr Scott Furssedonn-Wood, Mr Julian Payne and Dr Suzanne Farrar were in attendance.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the National Literacy Trust, this morning visited the Books Unlocked pop-up Literary Café, 19 Brook’s Mews, London W1, and was received by Mrs Sandra Cahill (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Transaid, this morning attended a Reception at Ashurst LLP, London Fruit and Wool Exchange, 1 Duval Square, London E1, and was received by Dr Muhammad Bari (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Learning and Work Institute, this afternoon attended a Discussion on Adult Literacy and Numeracy at Westminster Kingsway College, 76 Vincent Square, London SW1, and was received by Sir William Atkinson (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Maritime UK, later attended a Reception at Clarksons, Commodity Quay, St Katharine Docks, London E1, and was received by Commander John Herriman (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Trafalgar Night Dinner at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, London SE10, and was received by Dr Pieter van der Merwe (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning officially opened the Engineering Academy at South Staffordshire College, the Green, Cannock, and was received by Mr James Leavesley (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited St Mary’s Lichfield, Market Square, Lichfield, Staffordshire, to mark the completion of the building’s renovation.

The Duke of Kent later visited Lichfield Cathedral.
