COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Major General Christopher Ghika was received by The Queen today upon his appointment as Major General Commanding Household Division.

The Very Reverend Dr David Hoyle was received by Her Majesty upon his appointment as Dean of Westminster.

Mr Benjamin Fender was received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon his appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Somalia.

The following were received in audience by Her Majesty upon their appointment as British High Commissioners: Mr Rowan Laxton (the Republic of Cameroon) and Mrs Kara Owen (the Republic of Singapore).

Mrs Laxton and Commandant William Tierney were also received by The Queen.

Dr Philip Rushbrook was received in audience by Her Majesty and kissed hands upon his appointment as Governor of St Helena, Ascension and Tristan Da Cunha.

Mrs Rushbrook was also received by The Queen.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Youth United Foundation, this afternoon received Mrs Jennifer Price (Chairman).

His Royal Highness received Air Chief Marshal Michael Wigston (Chief of the Air Staff).

The Prince of Wales received Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown and Prince Radu of Romania.

His Royal Highness this evening held a pre-Chanukah Reception at Buckingham Palace.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge this afternoon arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Oman.

Dr Simon Case and Mr Christian Jones were in attendance.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Fourth Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, this morning visited Drapers’ Hall, Throgmorton Avenue, London EC2, in order to meet staff from Fishmongers’ Hall affected by the recent London Bridge terror attack.

Her Royal Highness, President, Racing Welfare, today attended a Beneficiaries’ Christmas Luncheon at Newbury Racecourse and was received by Mr Richard Griffiths (Deputy Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Not Forgotten Association, this afternoon held a Reception at St James’s Palace.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Association for all Speech Impaired Children, this evening attended a Christmas Concert at the Church of St Andrew Holborn, London EC4.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Patron, St Mungo’s, this evening held a Gala Dinner at Windsor Castle to celebrate the Charity’s 50th Anniversary.
