COURT CIRCULAR

Sandringham, Norfolk*

Divine Service was held in St Mary’s Church, Hillington, this morning.

The Bishop of Sodor and Man preached the Sermon.

Mr John Purnell (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this morning upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Guinea and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

Mr Vincent Thompson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Essex) was present at Stansted Airport, London, this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of Republic the Islamic Republic of Mauritania and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.

Mr Andrew Wallis (Deputy Lieutenant of Bedfordshire) was present at Luton Airport this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Uganda and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of The Queen.

Mr Vincent Thompson was present at Stansted Airport, London, this evening upon the Arrival of The President of the Arab Republic of Egypt and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.

Clarence House

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria this afternoon called upon The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay at Dumfries House, Cumnock, Ayrshire.

His Royal Highness this evening held a Recital and Dinner for Opera Australia at Dumfries House.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon attended a Service at Old Parish Church, Fraserburgh, to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Lifeboat Disaster at Fraserburgh and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr James Ingleby).

*Addendum:

The engagements undertaken on behalf of the Queen were added to the Court Circular on January 20th.
