Buckingham Palace

Mr Neil Crompton was received in audience by The Queen today and kissed hands upon his appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Ms Rosa Zaragoza was also received by Her Majesty.

Mr Kevin Strong was received by The Queen this afternoon when Her Majesty decorated him with the Royal Victorian Medal (Silver).

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, on behalf of The Queen, this morning presented The Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education at Buckingham Palace and afterwards gave a Reception.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, Combat Stress, and Patron, the Confederation of Service Charities, this afternoon held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness, Patron, later attended a Plant Health and Biosecurity Conference, the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Richmond, and was received by Mrs Gillian Norton (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Colonel, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), this morning received Major General Christopher Ghika upon assuming his appointment as General Officer Commanding London District.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, Hft, received Mr Robert Longley-Cook upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief Executive Officer.

The Princess Royal, Vice Patron, the British Horse Society, today received Mr James Hick upon assuming his appointment as Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Timothy Lord (Chairman) was present.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Catch22, this afternoon visited Her Majesty’s Prison Thameside, Griffin Manor Way, London SE28.

The Princess Royal, Past Master, the Worshipful Company of Butchers, and Fourth Warden, the Fishmongers’ Company, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the Annual City Food Lecture, Guildhall, London EC2.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this evening attended a Livery Dinner at Leathersellers’ Hall, 7 St Helen’s Place, London EC3.

St James’s Palace

Princess Alexandra, President, the Royal Star and Garter Homes, this afternoon officially opened Royal Star and Garter, Hughenden Avenue, High Wycombe, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).

Her Royal Highness subsequently presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to Stoke Poges, Wexham and Fulmer Horticultural Society, the Old Barn, Wexham Court Primary School, Church Lane, Wexham, Slough, Berkshire.
