By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) telephoned His Excellency Dr Durga Bahadur Subedi this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to the Court of St James’s.

The Queen was represented by Professor Sir Hew Strachan (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tweeddale) at the Funeral of Lieutenant Colonel Aidan Sprot (formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tweeddale) which was held at Cross Kirk, Peebles, this afternoon.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Lieutenant General Sir Norman Arthur.
