Ms Catriona Laing was received in audience by The Queen via telephone today upon her appointment as British High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Prince of Wales and The President of the Hellenic Republic, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall and Mr Pavlos Kotsonis, this morning laid wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Syntagma Square, Athens, before attending a Parade in Syntagma Square to mark the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the Independence of Greece.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards called upon The President of the Hellenic Republic and Mr Pavlos Kotsonis at the Presidential Mansion.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon held a Meeting with Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis (Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic) at the Maximos Mansion, Irodou Attikou, Athens.

Afterwards His Royal Highness was awarded the Gold Medal of Athens at Athens City Hall before meeting senior business leaders to discuss the “Terra Carta”.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, afterwards received representatives from the British School at Athens at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon received the Hellenic Police Domestic Abuse Team and representatives from the charity Diotíma at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador.

Their Royal Highnesses later arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton from Greece.

Mr Clive Alderton, Mr Christopher Fitzgerald, Mr Julian Payne, Mrs Jilly Hurley, Dr Anton Borg, Major Jonathan Thompson and Mrs Sophie Densham were in attendance.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge, President, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, this afternoon held a Meeting with film and television craftspeople via video link.

His Royal Highness later joined Ms Anne Eden (South East Regional Director, NHS England and NHS Improvement) on a weekly leadership call with all NHS leaders in the South East, including trust chairmen and chief executive officers, integrated care system leads and clinical commissioning group accountable officers via video link.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning held a Meeting with Ms Ruth Marvel (Chief Executive Officer) via video link.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Norwich Cathedral Music Appeal, this evening spoke to the Dean and choristers via video link.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Association of Show and Agricultural Organisations, this morning attended the Annual General Meeting via video link.

Her Royal Highness, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this afternoon held a Meeting on the Gambia’s trachoma elimination via video link.
