COURT CIRCULAR

Windsor Castle

The Queen received the Bishop of Chester (the Right Reverend Mark Tanner) today via video link who did homage upon his appointment.

Her Majesty received the Bishop of Chelmsford (the Right Reverend Dr Gulnar Francis-Dehqani) via video link who did homage upon her appointment.

The Rt Hon Robert Buckland MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) administered the Oaths.

The Bishop of Carlisle (Clerk of the Closet) was in attendance.

The Queen held a Council via video link at 2.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Jacob Rees-Mogg MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Robert Jenrick MP (Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government), the Rt Hon Priti Patel MP (Secretary of State for the Home Department) and the Rt Hon Gavin Williamson MP (Secretary of State for Education).

The Rt Hon Dame Sue Carr, the Rt Hon Sir Clive Lewis, the Rt Hon Sir Christopher Nugee, the Lord Pentland and the Lord Woolman were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen via telephone this evening.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this morning held an Early Years Meeting.

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning chaired a Meeting via video link.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Trustees, The Prince Philip Trust Fund for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, this afternoon chaired a Trustees’ Meeting via video link.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited troops undertaking pre-deployment training at Bodney Camp, Hilborough, Norfolk, in support of Women, Peace and Security.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Leeds Children’s Hospital, this afternoon held a Meeting with Dame Linda Pollard (Chairman) via video link.

The Countess of Wessex, Global Ambassador, International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness, this evening attended a Meeting with Orbis UK (Orbis Charitable Trust) and Orbis International via video link.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal this morning visited Sir Thomas Rich’s School, Oakleaze, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Mr Edward Gillespie).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Friendship Café at Chequers Bridge Centre, Painswick Road, Gloucester, and was received by Mrs Emma Willis (Deputy Lieutenant of Gloucestershire).

The Princess Royal afterwards visited St James City Farm and Riding School, 23 Albany Street, Gloucester.
