Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited the Vaccination Centre at the Bath and West Showground, Shepton Mallet, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Mrs Richard Maw).

The Earl of Wessex subsequently visited Somerset Community Foundation at the Bath and West Showground.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this afternoon visited Elim Connect Centre, Portway, Wells, and were received by Rear Admiral Brian Perowne and Dr Nicholas Hooper (Deputy Lieutenants of Somerset).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited volunteers of Wells Coronavirus Network in St Cuthbert’s Churchyard, St Cuthbert Street, Wells.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex later walked up Wells High Street to Market Place, meeting local retailers en route.

The Earl of Wessex afterwards visited Wells Cathedral.

His Royal Highness subsequently visited the Bishop’s Palace, Wells.

The Countess of Wessex, Vice Patron, this morning visited the Royal Bath and West of England Society at the Bath and West Showground.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, this afternoon visited the Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust, Wells Cathedral.

The Princess Royal, President, the City and Guilds of London Institute, this afternoon visited Veolia Integrated Waste Management Facility, 43 Devon Street, London SE15, and was received by Colonel Simon Duckworth (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, President, Carers Trust, this afternoon held a Meeting via video link with Mr John McLean (Chairman) and Mr Martin McMillan (Chairman of the Appeal Board), and subsequently attended an online forum to launch HRH The Princess Royal Respite Fund for Carers.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Fellow, the Royal Academy of Engineering, later presented The Prince Philip Medal to Dr Gladys West via video link.

The Princess Royal, Royal Fellow, the Royal Academy of Engineering, afterwards received Professor John Caldwell (Founding Fellow).
