COURT CIRCULAR

Windsor Castle

The Queen held a Council via video link at 2.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Jacob Rees-Mogg MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon George Eustice MP (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), the Rt Hon Kwasi Kwarteng MP (Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy) and the Rt Hon Brandon Lewis MP (Secretary of State for Northern Ireland).

The Rt Hon Stuart Andrew MP, the Rt Hon Dame Geraldine Andrews, the Rt Hon Jonathan Ashworth MP, the Rt Hon Sir Andrew Edis and the Rt Hon Nigel Evans MP were sworn in as members of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen via telephone this evening.

The Prince of Wales this morning held a Meeting for Waitrose Duchy Organic.

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Trust International, this afternoon held a Meeting.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the Friends of the Royal Academy, this morning visited the Royal Academy of Arts, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

Her Royal Highness, Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Naval Medical Service, this afternoon received Commodore Inga Kennedy upon relinquishing her appointment as Medical Director General (Naval) and Surgeon Commodore Fleur Marshall upon assuming the appointment.

Palace of Holyroodhouse

The Duke of Cambridge, Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, accompanied by The Duchess of Cambridge, today carried out the following engagements in Fife.

Their Royal Highnesses this morning visited Blown Away and met representatives of Fife Young Carers on St Andrews West Sands Beach.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge afterwards visited the University of St Andrews and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Fife (Mr Robert Balfour).

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon met fishermen and their families at Pittenweem Harbour, 20 East Shore, Pittenweem, Anstruther.

The Duke of Cambridge, President, British Academy of Film and Television Awards, and Joint Patron, NHS Charities Together, and The Duchess of Cambridge, Joint Patron, NHS Charities Together, this evening held a Drive-In Cinema for the premiere of Disney’s Cruella on the forecourt of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning chaired a Meeting via video link.
