Palace of Holyroodhouse

The Queen this morning arrived at Croy Railway Station and was received by Professor Dr Francis Dunn (Deputy Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire).

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn, drove to A. G. Barr plc, Westfield House, 4 Mollins Road, Westfield, Cumbernauld, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire (Mrs Jill Young) and Mr Roger White (Chief Executive).

Her Majesty, escorted by the Chief Executive, and His Royal Highness, escorted by Mr Scott McGlashan (Head of Operations, Scotland), viewed the factory’s production area and met members of staff and local charity partners.

The Queen opened the Process Facility.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn, arrived at Edinburgh Waverley Railway Station this afternoon.

Her Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness, drove to the Palace of Holyroodhouse and was received in the Forecourt by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost) and members of the City of Edinburgh Council, when the Rt Hon the Lord Provost surrendered to The Queen the Keys of the City, which Her Majesty returned to him.

A Guard of Honour found by Balaklava Company, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, under the command of Major Cameron Law, was mounted in the Forecourt.

Afterwards The Queen was received inside the Palace by the Hereditary Keeper (the Duke of Hamilton and Brandon) and met key workers.

By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Francis Blain at 57 Kensington Court, London W8, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Republic of the Gambia in London.

By command of Her Majesty, Mr. Alistair Harrison telephoned Her Excellency Mrs Enna Park later in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Korea to the Court of St. James’s.

St James’s Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex and Forfar today visited Forfar Golf Club, Cunninghill, Forfar, to mark the Club’s One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Angus (Mrs Patricia Sawers).

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited Utopia Costumes, Utopia House, Academy Street, Forfar.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex and Forfar later visited Voluntary Action Angus, 5-7 the Cross, Forfar.

Their Royal Highnesses subsequently visited S-Mart, 25 West High Street, Forfar.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), St John Ambulance, this morning opened the Lincoln Building, 4 Low Moor Road, Lincoln, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire (Mr Toby Dennis).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Lincolnshire County Council Tri-Service Emergency Services Station, South Park, Lincoln, and visited the County Emergency Centre.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Boston Stump Restoration and Development Appeal, later visited the completed restoration work at St Botolph’s Church, Church Close, Boston, and was received by Air Vice Marshal Gary Waterfall (Deputy Lieutenant of Lincolnshire).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, subsequently opened the new Mid-Lincolnshire Bureau, Municipal Buildings, West Street, Boston.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust, this afternoon received Mrs Helen Woolley upon relinquishing her appointment as Chairman and Mr Christoph Graf Grote upon assuming the appointment.

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, Royal Academy of Music, this afternoon attended a Meeting of the Governing Body via video link.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, this afternoon attended the Opening Day of the Wimbledon Championships, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19.
