The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay today visited Shetland and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Mr Robert Hunter).

His Royal Highness firstly opened the new fish markets at Mair’s Quay, Holmsgarth Road, Lerwick.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay this afternoon visited the Town Hall, Lerwick.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the North Atlantic Fisheries College Marine Centre, Port Arthur, Scalloway.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay subsequently visited Uradale Farm, East Voe, Scalloway.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal today visited Cornwall and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Colonel Edward Bolitho).

Her Royal Highness this morning visited Trink Dairy, Trink, near St Ives.

The Princess Royal, President, Royal Yachting Association, this afternoon visited Flushing Sailing Club, Trefusis Road, Flushing, on the occasion of its Centenary.

Her Royal Highness later visited Imerys Minerals Limited at Littlejohns Pit, Karslake Mine, West Gunheath, Carthew, to mark the Mine’s Two Hundred and Seventy Fifth Anniversary.

The Princess Royal afterwards opened the Roger Preston Gallery at the Wheal Martyn China Clay Museum, St Austell.
