COURT CIRCULAR

Windsor Castle

His Excellency Mr Hajime Hayashi was received in audience by The Queen today via video link and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Japan to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Hayashi was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr João Vale de Almeida was received in audience by The Queen via video link and presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the European Union to the Court of St James’s. Mrs Ana Jara de Carvalho was also received by Her Majesty.

The Queen this evening held a Reception at Windsor Castle to mark the Global Investment Summit.

The Prince of Wales, The Duke of Cambridge, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and Prince Michael of Kent, with the Lord Frederick Windsor, were present.

Clarence House

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon attended the Oldie of the Year Lunch, the Savoy, Strand, London WC2, and was received by Mr Stuart Shilson (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this morning received Mr William Gates (Founding Partner, Breakthrough Energy).

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon held a Reception in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace to mark the unveiling of the Statue of Diana, Princess of Wales.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, Forward Trust, this morning attended the launch of the Taking Action on Addiction Campaign at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, 195 Piccadilly, London W1.

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon chaired a Meeting via video link.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Minchinhampton Centre for the Elderly, this morning visited Horsfall House, 42 Windmill Road, Minchinhampton, Stroud, and was received by Mrs Jane Jenner-Fust (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire).

Her Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Corps of Signals, this afternoon visited 11th Signal and West Midlands Brigade during a training exercise on Salisbury Plain Training Area, Wiltshire.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Not Forgotten Association, this evening attended a Reception to mark the Charity’s Centenary at the House of Lords, London SW1.
