By command of The Queen, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) telephoned His Excellency Mr Ado Elhadji Abou this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Niger to the Court of St James’s.

By command of Her Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr Christian Nkambule at 20 Buckingham Gate, London SW1, today in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Kingdom of Eswatini in London.

The Queen was represented by Rear Admiral Sir John Garnier (Extra Equerry and formerly Flag Officer Royal Yachts) at the Funeral of Warrant Officer Ellis Norrell (Coxswain, HMY BRITANNIA) which was held at St Mary’s Church, Portchester, Hampshire, this afternoon.

His Royal Highness afterwards received Sir Partha Dasgupta (Chief Executive Officer, World Resources Institute), Mr Edward Davey (Adviser) and Dr Marc Palahi (Director, European Forestry Institute).

The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the set of the ITV adaptation of Peter James’s Royal Grace and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex (Mr Andrew Blackman).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited St Wilfrid’s Hospice, 1 Broadwater Way, Eastbourne, to mark the Fortieth Anniversary and was received by Mrs Sara Stonor (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex).

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited Danum Gallery, Library and Museum, Waterdale, Doncaster, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Mr Andrew Coombe).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park, Auckley, Doncaster, and opened the new Sea Lion Complex.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Organisation for Social Change, Awareness and Responsibility, this morning attended a Meeting via video link.

Her Royal Highness later attended a Reception at Aviva Tower, 1 Undershaft, London EC3, for Victims of Terrorism.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa Research Association, this afternoon held a Luncheon at St. James’s Palace.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Vice Patron, the British Horse Society, this morning attended the Annual Awards Ceremony and Charity Race Day at Newbury Racecourse and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (Mr James Puxley).

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, National Coastwatch Institution, this afternoon received Mr Jon Gifford upon relinquishing his appointment as President.

The Princess Royal, President, the City and Guilds of London Institute, afterwards received Sir John Armitt upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Dr Ann Limb upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, President, Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851, later attended the Fellows’ Reception at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Vice Patron, National Churches Trust, this afternoon presented the President’s Award at the Church Architecture Awards, St Mary Magdalene Church, Rowington Close, London W2.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner at Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2, to mark the Six Hundredth and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Worshipful Company of Wax Chandlers.
