The Queen was represented by Brigadier Robert Aitken (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Sir Simon Boyle (formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent) which was held in the Priory Church of St Mary’s, Abergavenny, this afternoon.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Cambridge, Patron, Welsh Rugby Union, and The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, Rugby Football Union, this afternoon attended the Six Nations Rugby Match between England and Wales at Twickenham Stadium, Middlesex.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Scottish Rugby Union, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon attended the International Rugby Match between Scotland and France at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Francis Ross, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).
