Today is the Ninety-Sixth Anniversary of the Birthday of The Queen.

Kensington Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this morning visited the Disasters Emergency Committee, 17-21 Wenlock Road, London N1.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this afternoon held an Early Years Meeting at Kensington Palace.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Admiral, Sea Cadets, this morning toured the Marine Society and Sea Cadets flagship, TS ROYALIST, under sail in the Solent and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, National Museum of the Royal Navy, this afternoon opened the Landing Craft Tank exhibit at the D-Day Story, Clarence Esplanade, Southsea, Hampshire.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Trimontium Trust, this afternoon visited the Trimontium Fort site, Main Street, Melrose, Berwickshire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Roxburgh, Ettrick and Lauderdale (the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry, KT).

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Trimontium Trust, afterwards opened the Trimontium Museum, Market Square, Melrose.

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, this evening attended a Lecture near Lauder to celebrate the Two Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the birth of Sir Walter Scott and the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary of the formation of St John Scotland.

The Duchess of Gloucester this evening attended a Dinner given by the Danish-UK Association at the Royal Horseguards Hotel, 2 Whitehall Court, London SW1, to celebrate The Queen of Denmark’s Golden Jubilee.
