COURT CIRCULAR

Windsor Castle

His Excellency Mr Khaled Al-Duwaisan and Mrs Al-Duwaisan were received in farewell audience by The Queen today via video link when His Excellency took leave upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the State of Kuwait to the Court of St James’s and upon retiring as Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, when Her Majesty presented him with the Insignia of an Honorary Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George.

Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

Her Excellency Ms Jane Hartley was received in audience by The Queen this afternoon via video link and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the United States of America to the Court of St James’s.

Mr Ralph Schlosstein was also received by Her Majesty.

Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

Lady Acland was received by The Queen and delivered up the Insignia of the Order of the Garter worn by her husband, the late Sir Antony Acland.

Mr Nicholas Acland and Mrs Katharine Weston were also received by Her Majesty.

Admiral Sir James Perowne was received by The Queen and took leave upon relinquishing his appointment as Constable and Governor, Windsor Castle, when Her Majesty invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Commander of the Royal Victorian Order.

The Queen held a Council via video link at 2.30pm.

There were present: the Rt Hon Mark Spencer MP (Lord President), the Rt Hon Gregory Clark MP (Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities), the Baroness Evans of Bowes Park (Leader of the House of Lords and Lord Privy Seal) and the Rt Hon Alister Jack MP (Secretary of State for Scotland).

The Rt Hon Andrew Stephenson MP was sworn in as a member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Mr Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Launceston Market Square, Broad Street, Launceston, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Trefranck Farm, St Clether, Launceston, to mark the Tenth Anniversary of Innovative Farmers.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall this afternoon visited the Duchy of Cornwall’s Nansledan Development.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, this afternoon visited Silver Stories, Charlestown School, Crinnis Road, Carlyon Bay, St Austell, and was received by Mr James Williams (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall).

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal this morning attended the Royal Welsh Show at the Royal Welsh Showground, Llanelwedd, Builth Wells, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Powys (Mrs Tia Jones).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited E. L. Lewis and Son, the Haven, Dilwyn, to mark their Two Hundredth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire (Mr Edward Harley).

The Princess Royal later visited SafeLane Global Limited, Unit 2, Phocle Business Park, Phocle Green, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.
