The King and The Queen Consort were represented by the Duke of Wellington at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Earl of Gowrie which was held at St James’s Church, 197 Piccadilly, London W1, this afternoon.
By command of The King, Mr Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Pisanu Suvanajata at 29-30 Queen’s Gate, London SW7, in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Thailand to the Court of St James’s.
By command of His Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps afterwards called upon His Excellency Mr Álvaro Gómez-Jaramillo at 3 Hans Crescent, London SW1, in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Colombia to the Court of St James’s.
By command of The King, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps subsequently called upon His Excellency Mr Raffaele Trombetta at 4 Grosvenor Square, London W1, in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Italian Republic to the Court of St James’s.
Kensington Palace
The Prince and Princess of Wales this afternoon visited the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, Newry Beach, Holyhead, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwynedd (Mr Edmund Bailey).
Their Royal Highnesses afterwards met local residents at Holyhead Marina Café and Bar.
The Prince and Princess of Wales this afternoon visited St Thomas Church, Lewis Street, St Thomas, Swansea, and were received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan (Mrs Louise Fleet).

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, this morning attended a Meeting for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Treloar Trust, this morning visited Treloar School and College, Powell Drive, Holybourne, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr Nigel Atkinson).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Heart of Arabia Expedition, this morning attended the launch of the Expedition at the Royal Geographical Society, 1 Kensington Gore, London SW7, and was received by Mr Justin Packshaw (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
Her Royal Highness, Vice Patron, the British Horse Society, this afternoon attended the Seventy-Fifth Anniversary Luncheon at the Household Cavalry Museum, Horse Guards Parade, London SW1, and was received by Mr Gareth Neame (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
