Balmoral Castle

The King was represented by the Hon Dame Annabel Whitehead (Lady in Waiting to The late Queen Elizabeth II) at the Funeral of the Lady Mary Russell (Maid of Honour at the Coronation of The late Queen Elizabeth II) which was held in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Priory Road, Hungerford, Berkshire, this afternoon.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall this afternoon held a Meeting with Mr Alastair Martin (Secretary of the Duchy of Cornwall).

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this morning departed from Luton Airport, London, for Romania and was received this afternoon upon arrival at Cluj-Napoca International Airport by His Majesty’s Ambassador to Romania (His Excellency Mr Andrew Noble).

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this afternoon chaired a Trustees’ Meeting at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Aleea Stadionului, Cluj-Napoca.

Brigadier John Smedley is in attendance.

The Countess of Wessex today carried out engagements in Botswana.

Her Royal Highness this morning visited Molefe Primary School, Kopong, Kweneng District.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon was received by The President of the Republic of Botswana at The President’s Office, Gaborone.

Her Royal Highness this evening attended the United Kingdom and Botswana Reception given by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Botswana (Her Excellency Ms Sian Price) at the Residence in Gaborone.

The Countess of Wessex afterwards attended a Dinner given by the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Dr Lemogang Kwape) at Gaborone International Convention Centre, Molepolole Drive, Moroka, Gaborone.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon visited Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice, 185 Bostall Hill, London SE2, and planted a tree as part of The Queen’s Green Canopy, and was received by Dr Pieter van der Merwe (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness subsequently visited Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice Shop, Bellevue Shopping Precinct, 239 Greenwich High Road, London SE10.
