The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, accompanied by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States of America (Her Excellency Dame Karen Pierce), this morning attended a Reception for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award, at the Cosmos Club, 2121 Massachusetts Avenue North West, Washington DC, United States of America.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the International Real Tennis Professionals’ Association Limited, this afternoon officially opened the Real Tennis Court at Westwood Country Club, 800 Maple Avenue East, Vienna, Virginia.

The Earl of Wessex this evening departed from Washington Dulles International Airport for the United Kingdom.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Scottish Rugby Union, accompanied by Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon attended the International Rugby Match between Scotland and Fiji at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Robert Aldridge, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).
