Buckingham Palace

The King of Spain visited The King at Clarence House this afternoon.

The Viscount Younger of Leckie (Lord in Waiting) was present at Royal Air Force Northolt this afternoon upon the Arrival of The King of Spain and welcomed His Majesty on behalf of The King.

The Viscount Hood (Lord in Waiting) was present at Stansted Airport, London, this afternoon upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of South Africa and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of His Majesty.

The King and The Queen Consort were represented by the Baroness Neuberger at the Funeral of Sir Evelyn de Rothschild which was held at the Liberal Jewish Synagogue, London NW8, today.

The Princess Royal was represented by Mrs Timothy Holderness-Roddam.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today carried out the following engagements in the Falkland Islands, escorted by the Governor of Falkland Islands (Her Excellency Mrs Alison Blake).

Her Royal Highness this morning attended a Briefing by the Government of South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands at Government House.

The Princess Royal afterwards visited the Fortieth Anniversary of the “1982 Falkland Islands Conflict” Exhibition at Falkland Islands Museum and National Trust, Historic Dockyard, Stanley.

Her Royal Highness subsequently unveiled a commemorative plaque on Victory Green to celebrate Stanley being awarded City Status.

The Princess Royal, President, the Mission to Seafarers Limited, this afternoon visited Lighthouse Seafarers Mission — Falkland Islands in Stanley, on the occasion of their Twenty Fifth Anniversary.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited the Falkland Islands Wool Company in Stanley.

The Princess Royal later visited the Falkland Islands Meat Company at Sand Bay.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited the 1982 Memorial Wood and planted a tree for The Queen’s Green Canopy.

The Princess Royal this evening attended a Dinner given by the Falkland Islands Government and the Members of the Legislative Assembly at the Malvina House Hotel, Stanley.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Patron, Special Boat Service Association, was represented by Lieutenant General Sir James Dutton (President) at the Funeral of Admiral of the Fleet the Lord Boyce (Patron) which was held at St Mary’s Church, St Clare Road, Walmer, Kent, this morning.
