Buckingham Palace

Mr René Dinesen was received in audience by The King today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Kingdom of Denmark to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Dinesen was also received by His Majesty.

Mr Georges Friden was received in audience by The King and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the Court of St James’s.

Mrs Friden was also received by His Majesty.

Sir Philip Barton (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs) was present.

Her Honour Brenda Murphy (Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick) was received by The King.

Her Honour Linda Boyle was also received by His Majesty.

The King this afternoon opened the Ukrainian Welcome Centre, the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, Duke Street, London W1, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), the Ambassador of Ukraine (His Excellency Mr Vadym Prystaiko), Mrs Volodymyr Zelenska (wife of The President of Ukraine) and the Ukrainian Eparchial Bishop of the Holy Family Eparchy in London (Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski).

His Majesty, escorted by the Director of the Ukrainian Welcome Centre (Mr Andriy Marchenko), toured the Centre and met staff, volunteers and displaced Ukrainians.

Later, the Rt Hon Rishi Sunak MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The King.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The King, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this afternoon.

Kensington Palace

The Prince and Princess of Wales this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for the United States of America and were received upon arrival this afternoon at Boston International Airport by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Mr Charles Baker) and Mrs Baker.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon called upon Ms Michelle Wu (Mayor of Boston) at Boston City Hall, 1 City Hall Square, Boston.

The Prince and Princess of Wales subsequently attended a Welcome to Earthshot event at Boston City Hall.

Mr Jean-Christophe Gray and Ms Natalie Barrows are in attendance.

St James’s Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Patron, London Youth, this afternoon visited St Andrew’s Club, Alec Wizard House, 12 Old Pye Street, London SW1, and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

His Royal Highness, Patron, London Youth, this evening held a Reception at Buckingham Palace.

St James’s Palace

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, London Scottish Football Club, this morning received Mr Paul Burnell upon relinquishing his appointment as President and Mr Stephen Pearson upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, President, RedR UK, this evening attended a Reception at the Institution of Civil Engineers, One Great George Street, London SW1, and was received by Mr Stuart Shilson (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess Royal, Honorary Member, the Smeatonian Society of Civil Engineers, later attended a Discussion Dinner at One Great George Street.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon attended the Not Forgotten Association Christmas Party at St James’s Palace.

Her Royal Highness, President, this evening attended a performance of Duke Ellington’s Big Band Suites by the Academy Jazz Orchestra at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1.

The Duke of Kent, Patron, the Tree Council, this morning planted a commemorative tree in the gardens at Lancaster West Estate, London W11, to commemorate National Tree Week and was received by Viscount Chelsea (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
