Buckingham Palace
The King this afternoon visited the Royal National College for the Blind, Venns Lane, Hereford, to celebrate its One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Herefordshire (Mr Edward Harley), the President (the Hon Jessica White), Mr John Ryan (Chairman of the Board of Governors), Ms Lucy Proctor (Executive Principal) and the Mayor of Hereford (Councillor Mark Dykes).
The King, escorted by the Executive Principal, viewed presentations of braille, braille technology, mathematics and complementary therapies before viewing a demonstration of blind football and meeting players and coaches.

The Duke of Kent, Colonel, Scots Guards, today received Lieutenant Colonel Guy Anderson upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer 1st Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Radcliffe upon assuming the appointment.
