COURT CIRCULAR

Sandringham, Norfolk

Today being the Feast of the Epiphany, a Sung Eucharist was held in the Chapel Royal, St James’s Palace, when the customary offerings of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh were made on behalf of The King by Major Grant Baker and Commodore Christopher Palmer RN (Gentlemen Ushers to His Majesty).

The Bishop of London (Dean of His Majesty’s Chapels Royal) presented the Offerings, assisted by the Reverend Canon Paul Wright (Sub-Dean of His Majesty’s Chapels Royal) and the Reverend William Whitcombe and the Reverend Prebendary Jonathan Osborne (Priests in Ordinary).

The King’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty in the Chapel.

The King was represented by Mr David McCorkell (His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Antrim) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Mrs Joan Christie (formerly His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Antrim) which was held at St Patrick’s Parish Church, Castle Street, Ballymena, this morning.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, President, Crown Agents Foundation, this morning held a Meeting with Mr Fergus Drake (Chief Executive) and Mr Keith Kibirango (Director of Philanthropy).

His Royal Highness, President, Greenwich Foundation, this afternoon held a Meeting with Mr Antony Hales (Chairman) and Mr Matthew Mees (Chief Executive).
