The King held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

The winners of the Defence Operational Shooting Competition were received by His Majesty at Windsor Castle this afternoon and presented with The King’s Medal.

Later, Her Excellency Professor the Hon Margaret Gardner was received in audience by The King and kissed hands upon her appointment as Governor of Victoria.

Professor Glyn Davis was also received by His Majesty.

The Prince of Wales, Colonel, Welsh Guards, this evening visited the Warrant Officers’ and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers’ Mess at Combermere Barracks, St Leonard’s Road, Windsor, Berkshire.

The Princess of Wales, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, this morning held an Early Years Meeting at Windsor Castle.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Nuffield Farming Scholarships Trust, this morning received Colonel Michael Vacher upon relinquishing his appointment as Director and Mr Rupert Alers-Hankey upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Anglian Regiment, this afternoon received Major General Dominic Biddick (Chief of Staff, Field Army Headquarters).

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Blesma the Limbless Veterans, this evening attended a Carol Service in Chelmsford Cathedral and was received by His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (Mrs Jennifer Tolhurst).
