The Prince of Wales and The President of the Hellenic Republic, accompanied by The Duchess of Cornwall and Mr Pavlos Kotsonis, this morning laid wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Syntagma Square, Athens, before attending a Parade in Syntagma Square to mark the Two Hundredth Anniversary of the Independence of Greece.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards called upon The President of the Hellenic Republic and Mr Pavlos Kotsonis at the Presidential Mansion.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon held a Meeting with Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis (Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic) at the Maximos Mansion, Irodou Attikou, Athens.

Afterwards His Royal Highness was awarded the Gold Medal of Athens at Athens City Hall before meeting senior business leaders to discuss the “Terra Carta”.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, afterwards received representatives from the British School at Athens at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon received the Hellenic Police Domestic Abuse Team and representatives from the charity Diotíma at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador.

Their Royal Highnesses later arrived at Royal Air Force Brize Norton from Greece.
