Buckingham Palace
The Queen, Patron, this morning opened the new Headquarters of the Royal Philatelic Society London at 15 Abchurch Lane, London EC4, and was received by the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor (Alderman William Russell) and the President (Mr Richard Stock).
Her Majesty, escorted by the President, toured the building, visiting the Members’ Lounge and Library and viewing displays of philatelic artefacts, historical stamps, and books and periodicals, and met members of the Society, young philatelists, architects, volunteers and staff.
The Duke of Cambridge, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.
The Queen was represented by Mr Angus Campbell (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of General Sir John Wilsey (formerly Aide-de-Camp General) which was held in Sherborne Abbey, Dorset, this afternoon.
The Duke of Kent was represented by Major General Bryan Dutton.
Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy was represented by Mrs Peter Troughton.

The Prince of Wales this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Solomon Islands.
Mr Scott Furssedonn-Wood, Mr Julian Payne, Mrs Jilly Hurley and Professor Charles Deakin were in attendance.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Cambridge, Joint Patron, the Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, this afternoon received Ms Jo Lynn Allen (Co-Founder, the Paul G Allen Family Foundation, and President and Chief Executive Officer, the Wild Lives Foundation).
His Royal Highness received global winners of the Legacy Award from the Diana Award Charity.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today held Receptions at St James’s Palace for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon attended a Tea with Members of the network of Women Mediators across the Commonwealth project, given by Conciliation Resources, at Mary Ward House Conference Centre, 5-7 Tavistock Place, London WC1.

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, this morning visited the National Breeding Centre at the Grange, Wycombe Road, Saunderton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).
Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University College of Osteopathy, this afternoon attended a Graduation Ceremony at Central Hall Westminster, Storey’s Gate, London SW1, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).
The Princess Royal this evening gave the National Council for Voluntary Organisations’ Annual Hinton Lecture at the Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1, and was received by Mr Kevin Traverse-Healy (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
