The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh and The Earl of Wessex, today launched The Queen’s Baton Relay for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games from the Forecourt of Buckingham Palace.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this afternoon attended the Commonwealth Service in Westminster Abbey and was received by the Dean of Westminster (the Very Reverend Dr. John Hall) and the Chairman of the Council of Commonwealth Societies (the Lord Howell of Guildford).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Henry of Wales, The Duke of York and The Earl of Wessex were also present.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended a Reception given by the Commonwealth Secretary-General (the Baroness Scotland of Asthal) at Marlborough House, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Patron, National Gallery Trust, afterwards attended the opening of the “Michelangelo and Sebastiano” Exhibition at the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Mr. Kenneth Olisa).

The Duke of York, Patron, this afternoon held a Lunch for supporters of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The Earl of Wessex, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Foundation, this evening attended a Dinner at the Royal Automobile Club, 89 Pall Mall, London SW1.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon arrived at Lilongwe International Airport and was received by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Malawi (Her Excellency Ms. Holly Tett).

Her Royal Highness later visited the Victim Support Unit at Lilongwe Police Station.

The Countess of Wessex this evening attended a Reception to celebrate Commonwealth Day at the Residence in Lilongwe.

The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, Wise, this morning attended the Celebration of Talented Women in Wales Conference at the National Assembly for Wales, Maritime Road, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Mrs. Morfudd Meredith).
