Her Majesty and His Royal Highness toured the laboratories before viewing a Maltese Cultural Show and hearing about Heritage Malta’s restoration projects.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were received afterwards by Mr Leo Brincat MP (Minister for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change) before embarking in a traditional Maltese Dghajsa and crossing the Grand Harbour.

Her Majesty, accompanied by His Royal Highness, later visited Customs Wharf, Valletta Harbour, was received by Dr. Edward Zammit Lewis MP (Minister for Tourism), the Chairman, Malta Tourism Authority (Dr. Gavin Gulia), Mr Paul Bugeja (Chief Executive Officer) and Professor Alexiei Dingli (Mayor of Valletta) before unveiling a Commonwealth Walkway Disc.

The Queen, with The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by The President of the Republic of Malta and Mr Preca, honoured Marsa Races with her presence this afternoon.

Afterwards The President of the Republic of Malta and Mr Preca bade farewell to Her Majesty and His Royal Highness at Malta International Airport upon the conclusion of the Royal Visit to Malta.
