The Queen arrived at Plymouth Railway Station this morning and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Sir Eric Dancer) and the Lord Mayor of Plymouth (Councillor Michael Fox).

Her Majesty drove to HM Naval Base Devonport and was received with a gun salute from HMS DRAKE Quarterdeck.

The Queen was received at HMS OCEAN by the Fleet Commander (Vice Admiral Philip Jones), the Naval Base Commander Devonport (Commodore Ian Shipperley) and Captain Timothy Henry RN (Commanding Officer HMS OCEAN).

Her Majesty attended a Service of Re-dedication and afterwards inspected the Guard of Honour before embarking in HMS OCEAN and viewing capability demonstrations.

The Queen attended a Reception in the hangar and was subsequently entertained to Luncheon in the Wardroom by the Commanding Officer.

The Duke of Edinburgh, President and Honorary Life Member, the In and Out Naval and Military Club, was represented by Admiral of the Fleet the Lord Boyce KG (Vice President) at the Memorial Service for Mr James Russell (formerly Vice President and Chairman of the Trustees) which was held in St Michael’s Church, Heckfield, Hampshire, this afternoon.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today carried out the following engagements in Louisville, Kentucky, United States of America, and were received by the Governor of Kentucky and Mrs Beshear.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited the African American Heritage Centre and toured the “Harmony” Fair.

The Prince of Wales subsequently attended a discussion about food and agriculture at the African American Heritage Centre.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Meeting of Louisville’s historic preservation community at the Filson Historical Society.

The Prince of Wales later viewed the Big Four Bridge before joining a Roundtable Discussion about health and the environment.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Roundtable Discussion at the Archbishop’s Residence on the role of business leaders as stewards of their employees’ health and the community’s health.

The Prince of Wales subsequently attended a Roundtable Discussion at the Cathedral of the Assumption on the importance of spirituality in encouraging the development of healthy communities, before giving a speech on “the Principles of Harmony”.

His Royal Highness then attended a Roundtable Discussion at the Archbishop’s Residence on the role of philanthropy in developing healthy communities.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning attended a Service of Commemoration in St Paul’s Cathedral, London EC4, to mark the end of Combat Operations in Afghanistan and were received at the bottom of the West Steps by the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor (Alderman Alan Yarrow) and at the West Door by the Dean (the Very Reverend Dr David Ison) and Chapter, the Bishop of London and the Archbishop of Canterbury.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Henry of Wales, The Duke of York, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke of Gloucester and The Duke of Kent were also present.

After the Service The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh met representatives of the veterans, injured Service Personnel and bereaved families. The Prince of Wales subsequently took the salute at the March Past of veterans.

Members of the Royal Family then witnessed a fly-past by aircraft from all three Services, led by Lieutenant Commander Keven Smith RN.

Afterwards Members of the Royal Family attended Receptions for those who attended the Service and took part in the parade.
