Buckingham Palace
Her Excellency Ms Foo Chi Hsia was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Republic of Singapore in London.
His Excellency Mr Peter Szabadhegy was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Hungary to the Court of St. James’s.
Mrs Szabadhegy was also received by Her Majesty.
Sir Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.
The Queen received the Bishop of Liverpool (the Right Reverend Paul Bayes) who did homage upon his appointment.
The Rt. Hon. Christopher Grayling MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) administered the Oath.
The Right Reverend Dr Christopher Hill (Clerk of the Closet) was in attendance.
The Queen, Patron, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, this afternoon received Mr Desmond Thompson and presented him with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Queen’s Medal.
Professor Stuart Reid (President), Colonel Neil Smith (immediate past President) and Mr Gordon Hockey (Registrar) were also received by Her Majesty.
The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.

The Rt Hon Theresa May MP had an audience of Her Majesty before the Council.
The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The Queen this evening.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, this afternoon held a Luncheon at Buckingham Palace.
His Royal Highness, Senior Fellow, the Royal Academy of Engineering, later received Sir John Parker upon relinquishing his appointment as President and Professor Dame Ann Dowling upon assuming the appointment.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Past President and Honorary Life Member, this evening attended a Banquet to mark the Bicentenary of Lord’s Ground at Marylebone Cricket Club, St John’s Wood, London NW8.

The Countess of Wessex, this morning opened the Whiteleaf Centre, Oxford Health National Health Service Foundation Trust, Bierton Road, Aylesbury, and was received by the Countess of Buckinghamshire (Deputy Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon unveiled the Stoke Mandeville “Hall of Fame” at WheelPower, Stoke Mandeville Stadium, Guttman Road, Aylesbury.
The Countess of Wessex later visited the National Spinal Injuries Centre, Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Mandeville Road, Aylesbury.

The Princess Royal, Royal Colonel, The Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, this morning visited Palace Barracks, Holywood, North Down.
Her Royal Highness, Patron, Scotland’s Churches Trust, this afternoon attended a Meeting at New Kilpatrick Church and a Luncheon at Bearsden Burgh Hall, Bearsden, Glasgow, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dunbartonshire (Rear Admiral Michael Gregory).
The Princess Royal, Royal Patron, Dogs for Deaf People, this evening attended an Awards Dinner at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London WC2.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Construction Youth Trust, this morning visited Summerfield Community Centre, Winson Green Road, Winson Green, Birmingham, and was received by Mr. Peter Tomlinson (Deputy Lieutenant of West Midlands).
His Royal Highness afterwards opened the restored Oak House Barns at the Oak House Museum, Oak Road, West Bromwich.
The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, today visited the Black Country Living Museum, Tipton Road, Dudley.
His Royal Highness this afternoon unveiled the “Gift of Life” Sculpture at Russells Hall Hospital, Pensnett Road, Dudley.
The Duke of Gloucester afterwards opened Lion Health Surgery, 2 Lowndes Road, Stourbridge.
His Royal Highness subsequently presented The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service to the Hope Centre, Block 11, Andrew Road, Halesowen.
The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon visited Springhill Hospice, Broad Lane, Rochdale, to mark its Twenty-Fifth Anniversary and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr. Warren Smith).
Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Dr. Kershaw’s Hospice, Turf Lane, Royton, Oldham, to mark its Twenty-Fifth Anniversary.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent this morning visited the energy-from-waste facility at Sita United Kingdom Limited, Haverton Hill Road, Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees, Durham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Durham (Mrs. Susan Snowdon).
His Royal Highness later visited Preston Park, Yarm Road, Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees.
