Her Majesty viewed exhibits relating to the Company’s history and met governing body representatives, wardens and assistants before illuminating a new chandelier and signing a Commemorative Instrument.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, Intelligence Corps, this morning received General Sir Nicholas Houghton upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel Commandant and Major General James Hockenhull upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness, Freeman and Liveryman, the Fishmongers’ Company, this afternoon attended the Doggett’s Coat and Badge Wager Rowing Race on the River Thames followed by Luncheon at Fishmongers’ Hall, London EC4.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Jennifer, Lady Gretton (Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Sir Timothy Brooks (formerly Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire) which was held in Leicester Cathedral this afternoon.
