The Earl of Wessex, Vice Patron, Commonwealth Games Federation, today attended the General Assembly at the Hilton Glasgow Hotel, 1 William Street, Glasgow.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Greenock Arts Guild Limited, this evening watched a Gala Variety Performance before opening the Beacon Arts Centre, Custom House Quay, Greenock, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Renfrewshire (Mr Guy Clark).

By command of The Queen, Ms Anna Clunes (Vice-Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Dr Zola Skweyiya at South Africa House, London WC2, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Republic of South Africa in London.

The Earl of Wessex, Vice Patron, Commonwealth Games Federation, today carried out the following engagements in Glasgow.

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Tollcross International Swimming Centre at 350 Wellshot Road and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Sadie Docherty, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

The Earl of Wessex later visited the Commonwealth Games Village, Springfield Road, Dalmarnock.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel, 1 William Street.

The Duke of Cambridge today attended Anglesey Show at the Showground, Gwalchmai, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwynedd (His Honour Huw Morgan Daniel).

Appendix to Court Circular

The Prince of Wales has been pleased to appoint Major David Bevan, Welsh Guards, to be Equerry to His Royal Highness in succession to Major Peter Flynn, Parachute Regiment, upon completion of his tour of duty.

The appointment to date from 12th August, 2013.
