His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Florence Institute for Boys, 377 Mill Street, Liverpool.

The Prince of Wales later visited Harrisons Advanced Rods, 201 Summers Road, Liverpool.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited ATG Access, Cobaco House, North Florida Road, Haydock Industrial Estate, Haydock.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Royal Colonel, 1st Battalion The Rifles, today received Lieutenant Colonel James de la Billiere upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Karl Hickman upon assuming the appointment.

The Princess Royal, Patron, College of Occupational Therapists, this afternoon opened the Human Occupational Performance Suite as part of the Seventy Fifth Anniversary celebrations of Occupational Therapy Education at Queen Margaret University, Musselburgh, East Lothian.

Her Royal Highness, President, Victim Support Scotland, this afternoon attended a Young People’s Conference at Whitburn Academy, Shanks Road, Whitburn, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Lothian (Mrs John Brydie).

The Princess Royal, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, this evening attended a Special Graduation Ceremony at the Playfair Library Hall, Old College, South Bridge, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Donald Wilson, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Columba 1400, later held a Dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Her Majesty presented The Queen’s Gold Medal for Academic Excellence at King Edward VII High School, King’s Lynn, to Andrew Cole, who was introduced into Her Majesty’s presence by Mr Michael Douglass, the Headmaster.
