The Amir of the State of Kuwait, with the Kuwaiti Suite in attendance, left Windsor Castle this morning.

The Amir drove to Westminster Abbey where His Highness laid a wreath at the Grave of the Unknown Warrior.

The Amir of the State of Kuwait today visited the Palace of Westminster and was received by the Lord Speaker (the Baroness D’Souza) and the Rt Hon John Bercow MP (Speaker of the House of Commons).

The Speaker welcomed The Amir and His Highness delivered an Address.

The Amir of the State of Kuwait subsequently attended a Reception with Peers, Members of Parliament and other guests.

The Amir of the State of Kuwait then concluded the State Visit to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

General Sir David Richards (Chief of the Defence Staff) was received by The Queen today.

The Service Chiefs of Staff were invited to Luncheon with The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon.

The Amir of the State of Kuwait today commenced a State Visit at Windsor Castle to The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Prince of Wales welcomed His Highness on behalf of The Queen.

The Amir of the State of Kuwait, accompanied by The Prince of Wales, drove to the Royal Dais in Datchet Road, Windsor, and was met by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The Amir of the State of Kuwait, accompanied by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh with The Prince of Wales, drove in a Carriage Procession to Windsor Castle with a Sovereign’s Escort of the Household Cavalry.

Gun Salutes were fired in the Home Park (Private) by The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery and at the Tower of London by the Honourable Artillery Company.

A Guard of Honour was provided at Windsor Castle by 1st Battalion Irish Guards.
