The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended the BBC Sports Personality of the Year Awards at MediaCity UK, the Quays, Salford, and was received by Mr. Christian Wewer (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater Manchester).

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership, afterwards held a Meeting at Clarence House.

The Duke of Cambridge, Patron, Centrepoint, and The Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon visited Centrepoint Camberwell Foyer, 90 Denmark Hill, London SE5.

The Earl of Wessex, Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, accompanied by The Countess of Wessex, this morning visited Royal Fleet Auxiliary Diligence and HM Submarine at Mina Salmar Port, Bahrain.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon called upon the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain (Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa).

The Earl and Countess of Wessex afterwards attended a Reception given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain (His Excellency Mr. Iain Lindsay) at the British Embassy in Manama.

Their Royal Highnesses were later received by The King of Bahrain.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this evening attended a Dinner given by The Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Bahrain at The King’s Palace.

Their Royal Highnesses later departed from Bahrain for the United Kingdom.

By command of The Queen, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon Prince Seeiso Bereng Seeiso at 7 Chesham Place, London SW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Royal Highness upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the Kingdom of Lesotho in London.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Nobel House, 17 Smith Square, London SW1.

His Royal Highness later held a Meeting with representatives from Biomimetics Health Industries UK.

The Prince of Wales afterwards received Mr. John Hayes MP (Minister of State for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning).

The Earl of Wessex and The Countess of Wessex, Colonel-in-Chief, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps, this morning visited personnel at R3 Hospital Bastion, Afghanistan.

Their Royal Highnesses later visited 5 Army Co-operation Squadron Royal Air Force.

The Earl of Wessex, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Waddington, and The Countess of Wessex, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Wittering, this afternoon attended a Lunch with Forces deployed on Operation HERRICK in Kandahar.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Waddington, and Her Royal Highness, Honorary Air Commodore, Royal Air Force Wittering, later visited Task Force 196, 14 Squadron Royal Air Force, the Royal Air Force Reaper Detachment and 39 Squadron Royal Air Force.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this evening departed from Afghanistan for Bahrain and were later received at Manama International Airport by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain (His Excellency Mr. Iain Lindsay).

The Duke of Kent, Patron, St. Mungo Community Housing Association Limited, this evening attended the Christmas Carol Concert in St. Bride’s Church, Fleet Street, London EC4.

The Earl of Wessex, Royal Colonel, 2nd Battalion The Rifles, and The Countess of Wessex, Royal Colonel, 5th Battalion The Rifles, afterwards visited troops in Nahr-e-Saraj.

Their Royal Highnesses later called upon the Commander 215 Brigade, Afghan Army.

His Royal Highness, Royal Colonel, 2nd Battalion The Rifles, and Her Royal Highness, Royal Colonel, 5th Battalion The Rifles, this evening attended a Dinner with all Ranks of 2nd and 5th Battalions at Bastion Military Base.
