Her Majesty toured the Centre and met members of staff, doctors, nurses and patients.

The Queen afterwards opened the Windsor and Royal Borough Museum, the Guildhall, Windsor, and was received by Mr Mark Taylor (Head of Libraries, Arts and Heritage, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead) and the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (Councillor Asghar Majeed).

The Earl of Wessex subsequently met emergency Service personnel who were involved in rescuing passengers during the fatal multiple vehicle accident on the M5 on 4th November, at County Hall, Taunton.
