The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon departed for the United Kingdom.

The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia (Ms Quentin Bryce), Mr Stephen Smith MP (Minister for Defence representing the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia), the Governor of Western Australia (Mr Malcolm McCusker) and the Premier of Western Australia (the Hon Colin Barnett MLA) were present at Perth International Airport and bade farewell to Her Majesty and His Royal Highness on the conclusion of the visit.

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this morning presented new Colours to the Royal Military College of Australia, Duntroon.

Having been received upon arrival by the Commandant (Brigadier David Luhrs), Her Majesty was received on Parade with a Royal Salute.

After the presentation The Queen was graciously pleased to address the parade and the Commanding Officer replied.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently attended a garden party with staff and cadets at Duntroon House.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conference (United Kingdom), this evening attended a Reception for Commonwealth Study Conferences at Government House, Canberra.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this evening attended a Parliamentary Reception at Parliament House and were received by the Prime Minister, Mr. Harry Jenkins MP (Speaker of the House of Representatives), Senator the Hon. John Hogg (President of the Senate), the Leader of the Opposition, and Ms. Jannette Phillips (Ngunnawal Elder).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Founder and Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association, this morning received at Government House, Canberra, the Hon. Larry Anthony (National Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Australia), Ms. Kim Brislane (National Chief Executive Officer, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Australia) and Mr. Craig Andrews (Director of Development, International Award Association).

His Royal Highness, Founder and Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association, this afternoon attended a Reception for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Australia at Government House.

The Earl of Wessex this evening attended the Trafalgar Night Dinner at the Royal Naval Club and Royal Albert Yacht Club, 17 Pembroke Road, Portsmouth, and was received by Mr. Nigel Atkinson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire).

Princess Alexandra, Royal Colonel, 3rd Battalion The Rifles, this evening attended a Concert near Chichester in aid of the Rifles Care for Casualties and was received by the Earl of March (Deputy Lieutenant of West Sussex).

The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia (Ms. Quentin Bryce) was received by The Queen at Government House, Canberra, this morning.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards embarked in Royal Australian Navy Admiral’s Barge at Government House Wharf and travelled on Lake Burley Griffin.

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness disembarked at Commonwealth Park and were received by Ms. Katy Gallagher MLA (Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh visited Floriade, the spring flower festival, in Commonwealth Park and were received by Mr. Andrew Barr MLA (Deputy Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness viewed the Victory Garden and met Australian War Memorial staff and volunteers, and subsequently viewed a floral design exhibition.

The Princess Royal, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

Clarence House

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, this morning received members of the National Osteoporosis Society at Clarence House on the occasion of World Osteoporosis Day.

Her Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, The Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada, this afternoon received Mr. Paul Hughes (Honorary Colonel).

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the London Chamber Orchestra, afterwards received the Reverend John Wates upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr. Martin Lovegrove upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Helen and Douglas House, this evening attended a Concert and Dinner at St. James’s Palace.

The Duke of York this morning visited Precious and Base Metal Components Limited, Acres Hill Lane, Sheffield, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Yorkshire (Mr. David Moody).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited ITM Power plc, 22 Atlas Way, Sheffield.

The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Lunch at the Mansion House, High Street, Doncaster.

His Royal Highness later visited Bridon International Limited, Balby Carr Bank, Doncaster.

The Duke of York this evening held a Reception at Buckingham Palace for Innovation Through United Kingdom Entrepreneurship.

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited Bristol Zoo Gardens, Clifton, in celebration of the One Hundred and Seventy Fifth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs. John Prior).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened Mortimer House, Britton Gardens, Kingswood, Bristol.

The Earl of Wessex later visited Knowle West Media Centre, Leinster Avenue, Knowle West, Bristol.

The Countess of Wessex this afternoon opened Suffolk One, Scrivener Drive, Ipswich, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Suffolk (the Lord Tollemache).

Her Royal Highness afterwards opened Ipswich East Fire Station in Haven Road, Ramsomes Europark, Ipswich.

The Countess of Wessex subsequently opened Woodlands for Suffolk Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust in Heath Road, Ipswich.
