COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today visited the Isle of Wight and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Major General Martin White).

Her Royal Highness, President, Royal Yachting Association, this morning attended the OnBoard Festival Sailing at Shrape Breakwater, Cowes.

The Princess Royal this afternoon opened the new Royal National Lifeboat Institution Lifeboat Station at Bembridge and launched the Albert William Brown Lifeboat at Lane End Road, Bembridge.

Her Royal Highness, Save the Children UK, later visited a Shop at 1 St Thomas Square, Ryde.

The Princess Royal, Patron, United Kingdom Sailing Academy, subsequently visited projects at Cowes Week 2011, and opened the renovated 52 Degrees North Building, Arctic Road, Cowes.

Her Royal Highness, Guardian, Give Them a Sporting Chance, this afternoon visited the Pacific 2012 Rowing Boat at Shepards Wharf, Medina Road, Cowes.

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this evening attended a Reception and Dinner on board Trinity House Vessel Galatea, Cowes.

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon departed from Royal Lymington Yacht Club, Lymington, having been received by Mr Oliver Crosthwaite-Eyre (Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire), and subsequently travelled on board Trinity House Vessel Galatea to Cowes, Isle of Wight.

Her Royal Highness, Honorary Member, Royal Yacht Squadron, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening visited the offices of Cowes Week Limited at Regatta House, Bath Road, Cowes, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Isle of Wight (Major General Martin White).

The Princess Royal, Honorary Member, Royal Yacht Squadron, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, later attended a Reception and Dinner at the Castle, Cowes.

The Queen arrived at Balmoral Castle today, was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr James Ingleby) and then inspected the Royal Guard found by The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland (5 Scots).

The Princess Royal this morning visited Wigtown Agricultural Show to mark the Two Hundredth Anniversary of Wigtown Agricultural Society, Bladnoch Park, Wigtown, Newton Stewart, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wigtownshire (Mrs Marion Brewis).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited Arran Farmers’ Society One Hundred and Seventy Fifth Annual Show at Glenkiln, Lamlash, Isle of Arran, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Ayrshire and Arran (Mr John Duncan).

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, Patron, Caithness Archaeological Trust, this morning visited Caithness Broch Centre, the Old School House, Auckengill, by Wick, and subsequently visited Nybster Broch, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Caithness (Miss Anne Dunnett).

His Royal Highness later visited Caithness General Hospital, Wick.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay this afternoon visited Society of Caithness Artists’ Annual Exhibition, Thurso High School, Thurso, Caithness.

His Royal Highness, Founder and President, The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment, afterwards received Mr Hank Dittmar (Chief Executive) and Mr Edward Taylor (Representative in Scotland).

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay later held a North Highland Initiative Meeting at the Castle of Mey.
