The Princess Royal, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this morning visited the Main Library and opened the “Women Firsts” Project at the University of Edinburgh Library Building, 30 George Square, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor George Grubb, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited Houghton Hall Organic Farm, New Houghton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (Mr Richard Jewson).

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia and The Raja Permaisuri Agong of Malaysia later called upon His Royal Highness.
