Buckingham Palace

The Queen this afternoon opened Dedworth Medical Centre, Windsor, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon Mrs Bayliss) and Dr Jonathan Holliday (Partner and Apothecary to the Royal Household at Windsor).

Her Majesty toured the Centre and met members of staff, doctors, nurses and patients.

The Queen afterwards opened the Windsor and Royal Borough Museum, the Guildhall, Windsor, and was received by Mr Mark Taylor (Head of Libraries, Arts and Heritage, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead) and the Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (Councillor Asghar Majeed).

Her Majesty toured the Museum, viewed the displays and met members of staff.

The Duke of Edinburgh, President Emeritus, World Wide Fund for Nature — International, this afternoon presented The Duke of Edinburgh Conservation Medal and subsequently held a Lunch at Buckingham Palace.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Drawing School, this morning held a Meeting at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness, President, afterwards held a Meeting for The Prince’s School for Traditional Arts.

The Prince of Wales, Admiral, this afternoon presented Operational Service medals to members of Commando Helicopter Force who have recently returned from Afghanistan and afterwards held a Reception at St James’s Palace for Service personnel and their families.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this afternoon received His Excellency Mr Nguyen Sinh Hung (President of the National Assembly of Vietnam).

His Royal Highness afterwards held a Business Forum for United Kingdom and Vietnamese businesses.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Dinner given by Vietnam Airlines at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon opened Somerset Heritage Centre, Brunel Way, Langford Mead, Norton Fitzwarren, near Taunton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Lady Gass).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Somerset Wheelchair Sports Club at Taunton Vale Sports Club, Gypsy Lane, Taunton.

The Earl of Wessex subsequently met emergency Service personnel who were involved in rescuing passengers during the fatal multiple vehicle accident on the M5 on 4th November, at County Hall, Taunton.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, United Kingdom Fashion and Textile Association, this morning opened the new headquarters of Dents in Furnax Lane, Warminster, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire (Mr John Bush).

Her Royal Highness, President, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, later visited the Independent Living Centre, St George’s Road, Semington, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, to commemorate the launch of Carer Support Wiltshire.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Kensington Society, this afternoon received Sir Ronald Arculus upon relinquishing his appointment as President and Mr Nicholas Ross upon assuming the appointment.
