Buckingham Palace

The following were received in audience by The Queen today and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Miss Thorhilda Abbott-Watt (Mongolia), Mr. Thomas Fletcher (the Lebanese Republic), the Hon. Alice Walpole (the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg) and Mr. Nigel Casey (Bosnia and Herzegovina).

Mr. Reef Talbot Hogg was also received by Her Majesty.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace this evening to recognise Exploration and Adventure.

The Earl of Wessex, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke of Kent, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, and The Duchess of Gloucester were present.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Chairman, the Royal Collection Trust, this morning chaired a Trustees Meeting.

His Royal Highness, President, this afternoon held a Meeting for The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall afterwards chaired a Meeting of The Prince’s Council.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Pakistan Recovery Fund Gala Dinner at the Natural History Museum, Cromwell Road, London SW7.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, today gave a Reception at Clarence House to celebrate the National Literacy Trust’s one millionth beneficiary.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, this afternoon presented the Wicked Young Writers’ Award at the Apollo Victoria Theatre, 17 Wilton Road, London SW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, 9th/12th Royal Lancers (Prince of Wales’s), this afternoon attended a Regimental Luncheon, followed by a presentation of Operational Service medals, at Haig Barracks, Hohne, Germany.

His Royal Highness afterwards had a Meeting with Mr. David McAllister (Minister President of Lower Saxony) at Hannover Airport.

Squadron Leader Charlotte Fenn RAF was in attendance.

The Earl of Wessex this morning opened the Platinum Medical Centre, 15-17 Lodge Road, St. John’s Wood, London NW8, and was received by Brigadier Paul Orchard-Lisle (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Not Forgotten Association’s Christmas Party at St. James’s Palace.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Sunderland Association Football Club Foundation, this afternoon attended a “Beacon of Light” Meeting at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Frankland Lane, Durham, and was received by Mr. Alasdair MacConachie (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of County Durham).

Her Royal Highness, Royal Colonel, afterwards visited 5th Battalion The Rifles at the Regimental Headquarters of D Rifles Company, Territorial Army Centre, Gilesgate, Durham.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Sunderland Association Football Club Foundation, this evening attended a Dinner and Concert in Durham Cathedral.

The Princess Royal, Patron, National Institute of Adult Continuing Education, this morning attended a Meeting at the Abbey Centre, 34 Great Smith Street, London SW1.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Treasurer, the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, this afternoon attended the 2011 Book Prize at the Inner Temple, London EC4.

The Princess Royal, Honorary Freeman, City of London, afterwards visited the City of London School on the occasion of its Twenty Fifth Anniversary in Queen Victoria Street, London EC4.

Her Royal Highness, President, Animal Health Trust, this evening attended a Dinner at Lancaster House, London SW1.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Patron, this evening attended the New Bridge Foundation Celebration of Christmas at the Parish Church of St. George, Hanover Square, London W1.
